Adopting a dog at OHS
Father and daughter bring their elderly labrador to the Oregon Humane Society to be put down by euthanasia. The Orgegon Humane Society euthanizes animals only for significant health or behavior issues and does not take lightly the decision to end a life.
Rosy, a pit bull mix, awaits adoption after being checked by one of the onsite vets. 97% of dogs and 95% of cats that came through OHS in 2009 were adopted and put into good homes.
A Young couple meet their new dog, Will, for the first time at OHS. Hoping to start their family, they came to pick a pet out of the over 200 dogs flown in from a California breeder.
